The curtains of the Cultural Hall Theater will be raised on Friday at 8:30 PM to reveal the performance of "The Master and the Servant," featuring the actors Ahmed Saeed and Saleh Al-Derazi, under the direction of Khalid Al-Ruwai'i.

The director, Khalid Al-Ruwai'i, presents in the theatrical production the servant's manipulation of his master and his hypocrisy towards him. The servant supports what his master desires and rejects what contradicts it.

"The Master and the Servant" is a poetic theatrical text engraved on stone tablets, dating back to 1200 BCE. It emerged during the peak of Mesopotamian literature, influenced by the famous laws of Hammurabi, as well as by Sumerian and Akkadian ideas, as evidenced by its environmental and social background.

The text of "The Master and the Servant" poses questions about the existence of a fixed ethical reference for behavior and the context that drives individuals to justify their actions, whether they are good or evil. It suggests that the only certainty in this existence is death.

Produced by Al-Sawari Theater, "The Master and the Servant" is directed and scenographed by Khalid Al-Ruwai'i, with assistance from Basal Hussain and Suad Awadullah. Hussein Marzouk and Ali Abu Deeb handle production, under the supervision of Hussein Al-Rifai.
